A one-day workshop focused on the crafting of a rammed earth design object.

This session bridges material research with product design. Participants explore the specific structural and aesthetic properties of raw earth, learning how to translate a raw material into a precise, small-scale design piece.

The program is structured to guide participants from material understanding to final execution:

Morning: Theory & Material Testing

  • Analysis of raw earth and its specific properties required for the rammed earth technique.
  • Hands-on experimentation with different dosages, humidity levels, and textures.
  • Lecture providing a comprehensive overview of reference projects and design possibilities.

Afternoon: Object design & Execution

  • Realization of a rammed earth design piece by each participant.
